Prior to the first time using your Hip Extension Bench, it is important that you check to have all of the required equipment and that it has been delivered successfully without damage.
Equipment list
You should have:
- A Hip Extension Bench (HEB) apparatus
- Two wired load cells
- One junction box
- One USB-C to USB-A cable
- Two allen keys
You should have also received an email entitled “Getting started” with your unique links for downloading the software. It is important that you only use your unique links to download the software as they are associated with your specific load cells.
Inspecting the apparatus
- Make sure all screws on the HEB are tightly fastened with the allen keys.
- Inspect the apparatus for sharp snags on the metal frame.
- Tighten the load cells screws attaching them to the vertical frame so that there is a tiny degree of freedom for the load cells to move. Too loose will impact the rigidity of the frame and too tight will impact the load cell data presentation.
- Check the horizontal and vertical slide rails are functioning suitably by pulling on the knobs to adjust.
- Sit in the HEB and trial a few isometric pushes at progressive intensities.
